Ports and Waterfront

FPL has almost two decades of experience addressing the transportation engineering complexities faced by our local seaports, the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach (collectively, the San Pedro Bay Ports). FPL’s work at the San Pedro Bay Ports includes performing civil and traffic engineering for a variety of grade separation, interchange improvement, intersection improvement, pavement rehabilitation, terminal circulation, and marina expansion projects. FPL well understands the heavy truck volumes; waterfront elements such as high water tables; and additional stakeholders such as shipping companies, railroad companies, Caltrans, and Cities that must be factored into the successful delivery of a project for either Port.
