Fong-Ping is an accomplished transportation planning / traffic engineering / civil engineering project manager with over three decades of experience. Fong-Ping has led FPL to participate in some of the largest and most successful transportation projects and private developments in the Western United States, including the I-25 T-REX in Denver, Colorado, the 91 Express Lanes in Orange County, California, and L.A. LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles, California.

Alex Zupanski, P.E., T.E.

Vice President of Traffic Engineering

Under Alex’s leadership, FPL has designed well over 200 signals approved by the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) alone. Alex is an MUTCD expert and specializes in joint jurisdiction Caltrans projects. Alex has been with FPL for over a decade and has served as FPL’s Project Manager for traffic engineering design for METRO’s $1-billion-plus I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening (plans have been reviewed and approved by Caltrans, the County of Los Angeles, and the City of Los Angeles).

Alan Lee, P.E., QSD/QSP

Associate Vice President of Civil Engineering

Before joining FPL in 2009, Alan worked for 32 years as a Civil Engineer at the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering on street, storm drain, sewer, land development, permitting, and street vacationing projects. Given his background as a former City employee, Alan is especially skilled at civil engineering design, plan review, permit processing, agency/utility coordination, and cost estimates. Agencies and private developers alike turn to Alan to help expedite projects and ensure quality projects.

Ron Canedy, LEED AP

Associate Vice President of Civil Engineering

Ron is an accomplished civil engineering project manager and design supervisor with over two decades of experience in the design and management of projects that involve grading, drainage, erosion control, street improvements, hydrology, hydraulics, wet utilities, utility coordination, water quality management plans, storm water pollution prevention plans, cost estimates, sustainable site design, LEED certification, and technical specifications. Since joining FPL in 2008, Ron has delivered numerous civil engineering designs for clients, such as LAUSD, LACCD, and UCI.
